A TikToker found himself in trouble with the law after being caught on video drifting his car in front of a police vehicle in North Nazimabad. The driver, who was reportedly oblivious to the presence of a police van observing his reckless driving, soon found himself being pursued by the authorities.
The chase ended abruptly when the TikToker crashed his car while attempting to evade the police. Senior police officials later scrutinized the footage to determine whether the officers in the police van had been filming the car as it drifted.
This is not the first time a TikToker has faced legal repercussions in Karachi. Just last month, another individual was penalized for creating a TikTok video inside a local police station. The man had initially been apprehended for riding a bike without the necessary documentation and was taken to the Shah Faisal police station.
While at the station, he took the opportunity to film a TikTok video. He was subsequently released after his relatives provided the required documents. However, following the viral spread of his video, he was re-arrested for breaching the police station’s prohibition on filming.
These incidents have prompted authorities to issue stern warnings to TikTokers, cautioning them against violating rules for the sake of views and clicks. The message is clear: flouting the law for social media fame can lead to serious consequences.
