TikTok has introduced text post support marking a significant shift in its strategy to compete with Twitter. This new feature allows users to share many written content, including stories, poetry, lyrics, and more, broadening the platform’s scope beyond its traditional video-based content.
This move by TikTok is seen as a direct response to Twitter’s recent initiatives. Twitter is currently preparing to launch a new job listing tool for verified organizations. This tool will enable these organizations to post job openings directly on their profiles, directing potential applicants to the company’s website for further information and online application.
Twitter’s new job listings tool is part of its Verified for Organisations plan, which comes at a cost of $1,000 per month. However, the use of the job posts tool will not incur any additional charges for verified organizations. The tool is yet to be officially announced by Twitter, but some verified organizations have already been allowed to post job listings under their Twitter bios.
In addition to this, Twitter will allow verified organizations to add up to five job vacancies to their accounts and connect to a supported ATS or XML feed to import all of their open jobs to the site. This move is seen as Twitter’s attempt to compete with popular platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed.
