In Pakistan, during the preparation for the Eid ul Adha festival, we will also follow the tradition and will slaughter animals like Sunnat e Ibrahimi.

The Meat Merchants Association in Karachi on Saturday announced rates for animal slaughter ahead of the Sacrificial Festivity of Sacrifice.

The fee was set at Rs20,000 per cow for slaughtering on the first day of Eid. For people that want to sacrifice a goat or sheep it is Rs.10,000, while for the one selecting to sacrifice the camel is Rs,40,000.

Nadeem Qureshi said that the prices were up to nearly half the value on the second and third days of Eid compared to the first day of Eid.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet tomorrow afternoon under the chair of Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad for the moon sighting of Zil Hajj.
