The Government of Pakistan has recently disclosed the specifications for the Prime Minister (PM) Laptop Scheme 2023 on social media. This initiative, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, aims to distribute 100,000 free laptops to deserving students as part of the PM Youth Laptop Scheme 2023.
The laptops being provided under this scheme are from the renowned brand Lenovo and come with a set of promising specifications. The government’s official Twitter handle shared the details, stating that the PM Youth Laptop Scheme 2023 is set to deliver another batch of 100,000 laptops with impressive features to the merit scholars of Pakistan.
The specifications of these laptops have been revealed in a post by the Government of Pakistan on Twitter. The laptops come equipped with an Intel Core i5 processor of the 11th or 12th generation. They feature a 14-inch Full HD Anti-Glare display that is non-touch. The memory capacity is 8GB at 3200 MHz, with an additional slot available for expansion. For storage, the laptops have a 256GB SSD.
The keyboard is multi-touch-ready and spill-resistant, ensuring durability and ease of use. The graphics are powered by Intel UHD Graphics. The laptops also come with Dolby Audio software, two speakers, and two microphones for an enhanced audio-visual experience. A 720p HD camera is included for video conferencing needs.
In terms of connectivity, the laptops offer HDMI, USB 2.0, USB 3.2 Gen 1, and USB C 3.2 Gen 1 ports. They support 802.11 AX Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, and Gigabit Ethernet for network connections. The battery capacity is 45 Wh, and the operating system is a licensed version of Windows 11. The package also includes a standard Lenovo bag.
The laptops come with a 15-month warranty and three years of support, ensuring that the students have a reliable device for their academic needs.
