Pakistani Pilgrims Will Be Staying Near Masjid-e-Nabawi

Talha Mahmood, the Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, said on Tuesday that Pakistanis doing the Hajj this year will be provided with living near the Masjid-e-Nabawi during their stay in Madina.

Mahmood further stated that plans for pilgrims’ accommodation and food in Madina will be completed shortly.

These statements were made by the minister during a meeting with Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al-Bijawi, the Undersecretary of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. The two officials discussed in great detail the future strategy for Hajj arrangements, pilgrimage to Madina, and road facilities to Makkah.

Mahmood praised the Saudi authorities for making arrangements for people to visit the two holiest mosques during Ramadan. He also advised pilgrims to learn how to use the Saudi smartphone application ‘Nusuk’ to do nawafil at Masjid-e-Nabawi’s Riaz-ul-Jannah.

In addition, Mahmood stated that efforts are being made to ensure that half of the pilgrims conducting Hajj under the Government Hajj Scheme complete the preceding journey to Madina.
