Multan Sultans franchise has announced its retentions for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 season. As expected, star wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has been retained in the platinum category, along with middle-order batsman Iftikhar Ahmed.
The franchise has also retained the injured Ihsanullah in the silver category while naming him a brand ambassador. Emerging player Faisal Akram rounds up Multan’s retentions for PSL 9.
Earlier, there was speculation that leading pacer Shahnawaz Dahani may not be retained. However, the franchise has put faith in Afridi to spearhead the pace attack.
With a good mix of batting and bowling retained, Multan will hope to reach the finals again after finishing as runners-up last season.
