Illegal Housing Societies in All Zones of Islamabad

The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) inefficiency has resulted in the spread of illegal housing societies in Islamabad.

The number of such societies has now risen to 149, leading citizens to suffer financial losses while the CDA stands by and does nothing.

Zone-IV has the largest number of illegal housing societies in Islamabad, with 85, followed by 20 in Zone-I, 7 in Zone-II, 7 in Zone-III, and 30 in Zone-V.

These organizations are aggressively selling and promoting plots without the necessary authorization.

Even though the CDA has given notifications to these unlawful societies, their numbers continue to rise. Despite getting approval for their layout designs, none of the 149 societies have secured the needed No Objection Certificate (NOC).

According to CDA officials, these societies can only conduct transactions when their layout plan has been authorized and their NOC has been received.

The CDA has taken the initiative of alerting the public via public notifications. They advise people to properly investigate the condition of any housing society before purchasing or selling plots to avoid falling victim to unlawful practices.

It should be noted that the CDA is not liable for any damages caused as a result of engaging with these unlawful housing societies.
