An online vehicle verification system in Pakistan has been implemented to protect individuals from legal issues during car purchasing. This system is designed to help potential buyers ensure that a car is registered in the original owner’s name and is not stolen.
The verification process can be done through official websites provided by provincial governments. Users can verify a vehicle using its registration number or CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card).
To verify a vehicle, individuals must visit the official website, enter the vehicle’s registration number, and select “Verify.” This service is available for Punjab, Sindh, KP, and Islamabad residents. However, as of November 1, 2023, the government of Balochistan does not offer online vehicle verification but plans to introduce it shortly.
This online verification system is an important step towards ensuring transparency and security in the car purchasing process. It helps citizens avoid fraudulent activities and legal complications. It also simplifies verifying a vehicle’s authenticity, making it more convenient for citizens.
