TikTok is now letting users generate clones of their voices using the application’s artificial intelligence technology. I will explain how you can take advantage of this feature for your videos.
Self-learning is embedded into nearly every platform that one can imagine, including TikTok. One of the latest additions to AI on the platform is using your voice for voiceovers.
Temporary voiceovers are also not unique to TikTok — you can already add spoken content to the video without having to record it yourself by using AI voices.
However, in the Text-to-speech option, you were only able to use the default voices available on TikTok. Now, you can create your very own AI voice. Try recording several lines out loud and save it for later.
How to use your voice for text-to-speech on TikTok
Here’s how to use your voice for text-to-speech on TikTok
- Click the text box button, “Aa” on the right corner of the window.
- Enter the words that you want to have the voice-over to say.
- Press the Text-to-speech button.
- Select Create your voice from the voices list.
- If you have added your AI voice, click on the text-to-speech button again and make your selections from within this section.
- If you need the voiceover disappear the text box.

If you would like to develop your personal voice for TikTok’s singing of the texts, you will have to make a new video. Then, start with the text box button on the right side of the screen with the word “Aa.”
Enter the words you want the voice-over to speak in a text box that pops up. Then, expand the menu located to the right from the Text-to-speech button placed over the text line.
It will now give you a list of voices. Select one like Ruby or Trickster, as they are names on the menu.
From the given options, click on the one that allows you to create your voice. Next, you will be asked to read a couple of lines loud so that the app can create an AI version of your voice.
This AI voice will be utilized for TTS purposes in your TikTok videos and is confidential. Unselecting it will always be optional.
