Facebook stories allow you to tell everyone what’s new, but there are days when you only feel like sharing part of your story. Whether for privacy reasons or simply because you change your likes, you can set up who can see your posts without effort. Method 1: Using the Facebook Mobile App
Option 1: Hide Story From Story Privacy Settings
- Open the Facebook app.
- Tap Home at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Create story under Stories.
- Tap the Settings (gear) icon at the top right.
- Select Hide story from and choose the users to hide your story from.
- Tap Done to save changes.
Option 2: Hide Story From Facebook Settings
- Open the Facebook app.
- Go to your Profile.
- Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) at the top left.
- Scroll down and select Settings & Privacy > Settings.
- Tap Stories.
- Select Who can see your stories?
- Choose Friends except…, then select the people to hide your story from.
- Tap Done to apply changes.
Method 2: Using Facebook on Desktop
Option 1: Hide Story From Story Privacy Settings
- Log in to Facebook on your browser.
- Click Create Story at the top.
- Click the Settings (gear) icon on the left panel.
- Select Hide story from and choose the users to exclude.
- Click Save to apply changes.
Option 2: Hide Story From Facebook Settings
- Log in to the Facebook app.
- Click your Profile picture.
- Click Settings & Privacy > Settings.
- Select Stories.
- Click Who can see your stories?
- Choose Friends except…, then select the users to hide your story from.
- Click Save Changes to confirm.
