HEC Announces LAW-GAT 2023 Schedule
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has officially announced the schedule for the Law Graduate Assessment Test (LAW-GAT) for the year 2023. The test, which is a mandatory requirement for LLB graduates seeking Bar Council Registration, is set to take place on August 13, 2023.
Registration Process and Eligibility Criteria
Interested candidates are required to register online through the HEC portal by August 1, 2023. To be eligible for the LAW-GAT test, candidates must have successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in Law or an equivalent qualification from a university recognized by HEC/PBC. The LAW-GAT serves as a prerequisite for LLB graduates who wish to practice law and enter the legal profession.
Test Details and Requirements
The LAW-GAT test will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Once the registration process is completed, candidates can download their Roll Number Slip from the official HEC website one week before the test date.
Registered applicants will receive an email or SMS notification containing details about the test date, time, and venue. It is crucial for candidates to provide a valid email address and mobile number during the application process. To gain entry into the Test Centre, candidates must bring a printed copy of the Roll Number Slip along with their original CNIC.
Important Dates and Test Centers
The deadline to apply for the HEC Law GAT 2023 is August 1, 2023. During the application process, applicants can select their preferred test center from the available list. However, once a test center is selected, it cannot be changed post-registration, unless a minimum of 250 applicants select the same center.
HEC LAW-GAT 2023 registration is now open, and all interested LLB graduates are encouraged to apply before the deadline. This test is a significant step toward practicing law and entering the legal profession.
