Govt Announces Advance Salary and Pension for Eid-ul-Fitr
Due to Eid-ul-Fitr, the federal govt has decided to pay all working and retired government employees their April salary, allowances, and pensions early.
According to sources, the decision was made during a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, with the latter instructing the Secretary of Finance to take action as soon as possible.
The Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, on the other hand, has called its monthly meeting to observe the Shawaal crescent. The meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, April 20 (29 Ramadan). On the same day, zonal committees will convene in specified zones.
The primary gathering will occur at Islamabad’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony building. The session will be presided over by Chairman Molana Abdul Khabeer Azad.
For now, the federal govt will soon declare the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. According to reports, the Cabinet Division has delivered a summary to the Prime Minister’s Office.
