How to enable YouTube’s dark mode on iPhone
To get started, install YouTube app from the App Store. If you are not logged in, you can turn on the Dark Mode, but signing in will save your settings and sync across devices.
- Open YouTube on your iPhone.
- Tap your profile picture in the bottom-right corner.
- Tap the Settings icon in the top-right.
- Select General from the menu.
- Tap Appearance.
- Choose Dark Theme from the list.
Once you select it, your app will be turned directly into the Dark Mode. Alternatively, you can select Use device theme to replace Dark and Light colors with the features that will help automatically switch the preferred mode depending on your iPhone settings.
- Same steps apply to the iPad YouTube app.
- Similar settings will be available to Android users and on the YouTube web app.
- To revert to the Light Mode, go to the Appearance menu and select your preferred option again.
