Emirates Global Islamic Bank Limited, an Islamic Commercial Bank, began operations in February 2007. This bank has just 10 branches in Pakistan, with five in Karachi and two each in Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, and Gujranwala. EGIBL is projected to expand its branch network across the country by opening new branches.

This EGIBL has only recently begun operations in Pakistan, but it has already attracted investors from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The primary goal of establishing the EGIBL is to assist and expand the Islamic banking business without the use of Riba. EGIBL is playing a significant role in the growth of the banking business by offering highly competitive banking products that will operate by the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah.
