The moon-sighting authority, the Ruet-e-Hilal committee, will meet today in Karachi to look for the Zilhaj crescent.
The Ruet-e-Hilal committee’s president, Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, will lead the central committee meeting in the port city, which will also include officials from the Ministries of Religious Affairs, SUPARCO, Met Office, and Science and Technology.
Meanwhile, zonal and district Ruet-e-Hilal committees will meet tomorrow at their respective offices.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted that the Zil Hajj moon will be visible on June 19, and Eidul Adha would happen on June 29th.
