How to Copyright Your Tumblr Posts
- Go to Tumblr, sign in, and then click the “Gear” button on the following page.

- Type “Begin Footer” in the search box by pressing “Ctrl+F”. One result should be highlighted in the HTML code of the Tumblr theme.
- Copy and paste the following line of text into your desired footer section, using your name and the proper year:
Copyright © 2023 Website. All rights reserved. - Near the top of the theme editor screen, click the “Save” button. Your copyright notice is now visible on every page and posts on your Tumblr blog. Displaying this notice informs your readers and visitors that the content on your site is copyrighted and protected.
