Bangladesh Announces Squad For Asia Cup 2023

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially announced the national team’s squad for the highly anticipated Asia Cup 2023. The tournament is set to take place in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, with teams from across the continent competing for the prestigious title.

The 17-member squad includes a mix of experienced players and fresh faces. Notably, Shamim Hossain and Tanzid Hasan Tamim, both of whom have already represented Bangladesh in T20 internationals, are set to make their One Day International (ODI) debuts in this tournament.

Shakib Al Hasan, a seasoned all-rounder, will lead the team in the tournament. The first match for the Bangladesh team will be against Sri Lanka on 31 August at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. Following this, they will face Afghanistan on 3 September at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore for their second game of the tournament.
