As the much-anticipated Pakistan-India match in the Asia Cup 2023 faces potential rain disruptions, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued new directives regarding the refund policy for tickets. This comes amid concerns from fans about the possibility of matches being abandoned due to inclement weather.
According to the PCBās refund policy, spectators will be eligible for a refund only if the game is cancelled before the toss or if the venue of the match is changed and ticket holders are unable to attend the match at the new location. However, no refunds will be provided if a match is abandoned after the toss has taken place.
The PCB further clarified that if a match is abandoned or cancelled due to poor weather or playing conditions, or if it is postponed and subsequently played, spectators will not receive a refund. However, if a ticket holder is unable to attend a rescheduled match, they will be eligible for a refund.
To claim a refund, spectators are required to send an email to [email protected]. The PCB has assured that refunds will be processed within ten business days following the receipt of the request. However, certain exclusions apply to the refund policy. These include re-sold or transferred tickets, unauthorized ticket sales, and cases where the ticket holder has been expelled or evicted from the venue.
