Twitter is set to launch a new job listing tool marking its first step into the competitive world of online job portals. This innovative feature will allow verified organizations to post job openings directly on their Twitter profiles, providing a new avenue for companies to reach potential applicants.
The social media giant has not yet officially announced this new feature, but some verified organizations have already been granted permission to post job listings under their Twitter bios. These job postings direct interested candidates to the company’s website where they can learn more about the job and apply online.
In addition to individual job postings, Twitter is also offering integration with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or XML feeds. This allows verified organizations to import all their open positions onto the platform, with the capacity to add up to five job vacancies per account.
This move by Twitter is seen as a strategic attempt to compete with established job listing platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed. The idea was hinted at by Elon Musk back in May, around the same time Twitter acquired Laskie, a job-matching technology startup.
