WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that will revolutionize event planning without additional applications. Users can now easily plan events or birthday celebrations.
Anyone can create an event in a group chat, allowing all members to RSVP and view the attendees list. And just like calendar notifications, event details will be shown on the group’s information page, and as the event date approaches, attendees will receive reminders.
Groups inside a Community will be the first to get access to the events feature, but all groups will have it soon.
Not only does WhatsApp now have an event planning option, but it also has an additional feature that lets users respond to admin announcements in Communities. Replies from users will be grouped and minimized for better context, and notifications will be muted to avoid excessive interruptions.

Moreover, WhatsApp is working on an exciting new feature – a dedicated dialer within the app. The dialer is now in beta testing and will remove the need to save contact numbers in the phone book. Users will be able to call and message contacts easily.
Limiting users’ ability to communicate, users had to save a contact’s number before it would appear in their WhatsApp contacts list. Users no longer need to worry about saving temporary contacts due to the new dialer feature, which allows them to dial the phone number quickly.
