WhatsApp has been improving its game to compete with competitor applications. It recently added the ability to modify messages after they have been sent, and it will soon allow users to share their screens during conversations, similar to Google Meet, Zoom, and other applications.
The screen-sharing features first identified by WABetaInfo were included in the most recent update, version 2.23.11.19, as several beta testers observed. A new option in the call menu allows users to share their screen with individuals with whom they are conversing. WhatsApp presents a disclaimer before enabling the feature, notifying users that the application will have access to the content displayed on the screen.
When users agree to the rules, screen sharing begins, allowing them to share anything on their screen. It is important to note that this feature may not be compatible with previous versions of the app, and there may be restrictions on the number of people who can see the screen sharing.
In addition, a slight update to the bottom navigation bar has resulted in the reorganization of several tabs. Although no tabs have been eliminated, users who are accustomed to a specific UI layout that suddenly changed may be confused.
Keep in mind that these updates are still in WhatsApp’s beta version, which means they will take some time to make their way into the app’s stable version. However, we can be positive that the functionality is in the works and will be available shortly.
