The Sindh government announced on Thursday that 2,000 additional police jobs will be established across the state.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah made the announcement, approving the hiring of 2,000 Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Investigation vacancies in the police department.
The Sindh Home Department has written to Inspector General Sindh, Ghulam Nabi Memon, over the hiring of these 2000 additional police officers.
The recruitment procedure will be two-fold: about 50% of the ASI Investigation jobs will be filled through the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC), with the remaining vacancies filled by elevating officers within the department.
Male and female candidates are also welcome to apply for these roles, which are accessible in several areas across Sindh. This recruiting campaign intends to expand the police department’s skills and improve the province’s law and order situation.
The Sindh government’s attempts to enhance the province’s security situation are admirable, and this recruiting push is a step in the right direction. The hiring of more police officers will assist the department’s capabilities to battle crime and maintain law and order in the province.
