Sharjah Citizens Can Directly Message Govt Officials Via WhatsApp

Sharjah Municipality has started an initiative to help the administration and inhabitants communicate better. It has launched a program that allows users to complain directly to the Director General (DG) via WhatsApp.

The municipality stated that this measure is consistent with its commitment to providing high-quality services that satisfy the expectations of the community.

Sharjah citizens could send DG feedback complaints, or suggestions via WhatsApp by adding the number 0501617777 to their contact list.

Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, also often communicates with the people via a radio channel. He urges citizens to share their opinions and ideas with him.

The ‘Direct Line’ show, known as ‘Al Khat Al Mubasher’ in Arabic, has grown in popularity in the emirate due to its emphasis on people’s worries and challenges.

Since the program’s inception in 2006, the host has been contacting various govt departments or officials to obtain solutions and responses to residents’ problems.
