On January 13, the winter holidays will end, and schools will resume classes across Punjab. The government has not only revised the school timings according to a cold wave in the region but also informed the students to stay in school until the surveying period is over.
New Timings for Special Education Institutions
- Monday to Thursday & Saturday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Fridays: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
The department temporarily relaxed uniform rules for special education institutions to ensure students’ comfort during cold weather. From Jan 13 through Feb 15, this change means students will be able to wear warm clothing as they need it to match the changing climate in Florida.
Also, no extension of the winter holidays has been announced, and public and private schools in Punjab will reopen on January 13. Classes will resume as planned despite the frigid weather, the government said.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a cold and dry spell will affect most of the regions with especially low temperatures in northern hilly areas.
- Dense Fog: It could be expected in parts of northeast Punjab.
- Light Rain and Thunderstorms: Maybe southeastern Punjab and east Sindh in the evening and night.
As schools and students prepare to head back to school, schools and students are advised to prepare for the cold conditions.
