Restart Chromebook from Quick Settings
Chrome OS doesn’t come with a dedicated Restart button, so you’ll have to turn off your Chromebook and manually turn it on to restart the device. You can do this easily from the Quick Settings panel. Here’s how it works:
1. From the lower right corner, open the Quick Settings panel, which displays the time and other information. Here, Press the ” (power) button and it will turn off your device immediately.
2. Now, hardware power button on your device to restart the Chromebook.

1. You can restart your Chromebook using the hardware power button. Necessary Hold down the power button for a few seconds.
2. When you do this, a pop-up menu will appear on the screen, just like on Android. Here “Close” option and it will shut down the Chromebook.

Restart Chromebook Using a Chrome URL
Finally, there are a few hidden Chrome URLs that many users are unaware of. One of them lets you restart your Chromebook with a simple URL execution. Note that this is a soft reboot and not a full-fledged reboot. You can use this method on Chrome OS if there is no special reboot feature here.
1. Open Chrome and type the following URL in the address bar and press Enter. Make sure to save all your work, this will instantly restart your Chromebook.
