The University of Punjab has officially opened admissions for its five-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) program for the 2023-28 academic session. The announcement includes both regular and self-supporting programs.
The Punjab University College of Pharmacy began accepting online applications on September 18, with the deadline set for October 2, 2023. The eligibility criteria stipulate that applicants must be domiciled in Punjab and have achieved at least 60% marks in F.Sc. (Pre-medical or Equivalent) to qualify for admission to the Pharm. D. Session 2023-2028.
BSc. (Two years)/Associate Degree holders who have studied Botany, Zoology, or Chemistry and have obtained at least 60% marks in their FSc. (Pre-medical) are also eligible to apply. These candidates are advised to apply for the B.Sc. seats within the reserved seats category.
All candidates must have appeared in an entry test, either the University of Punjab’s admission entry test or MDCAT. The entry test contributes 25% to the merit calculation. The fee for each program is Rs500.
Applicants who claim Hafiz-e-Quran marks will need to appear for an oral test on October 5 at 09:00 am at the Punjab University College of Pharmacy, Allama Iqbal Campus (Old Campus), University of the Punjab, Lahore.
Those applying for reserved seats must submit their signed application form by post/courier along with all necessary documents to the admission office of the Punjab University College of Pharmacy by October 4, 2023. Detailed information about the reserved seats and the application procedure can be found on the university’s official websites.
It should be noted that for the morning session, there will be a deduction of 2 marks from the percent academic marks for each late session up to a maximum of the immediate last five sessions. However, there is no mark deduction for the evening self-supporting program.
Applications can be submitted through the online portal http://admissions.pu.edu.pk. Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
