Lahore, November 23, 2023 – Punjab Police has announced plans to recruit thousands of constables. The department is set to formally advertise these positions following approval from the provincial cabinet.
Inspector General (IG) Police Dr. Usman Anwar has confirmed that the police force will be welcoming 4,000 new constables to address the current staffing needs. This decision comes as part of a broader strategy to enhance the manpower and capabilities of the police department in Punjab.
The announcement was made amidst other initiatives aimed at modernizing the police force and optimizing operational costs.
The IG Punjab also revealed plans for the department to acquire 200 electric bikes in an effort to combat fuel shortages and reduce annual fuel expenses by millions of rupees. A budget of Rs. 30 million has been allocated for this purpose.
The recruitment drive is expected to open up opportunities for many aspiring candidates who wish to serve in the police force.
