Under the Chief Minister Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship Program 2025, the Government of Punjab has announced 30,000 new scholarships. The program will offer deserving and talented students undergraduate degrees in the province, merit based financial helps.
According to the official notification, the scholarship will cover all the tuition fees of qualified students, so that the families that cannot afford them do not have to bear the cost. The program aims to provide a solution whereby bright students with a poor economic background can continue their higher education without interruption.
Application Procedure
The students will be eligible to apply online on the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) website. The complete application process is online, and no hard copy submissions will be accepted. For assistance, students can visit the official portal or reach out to the PHEC helpline for guidance.
Eligibility Requirements
Students require the following to qualify in the Chief Minister Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship Program
- Academic Qualification: At least 70% marks in Intermediate (FA/FSc/ICS/12th Grade).
- Domicile: Applicant must hold a Punjab domicile.
- Family Income: Monthly family income should not exceed Rs. 350,000 (for public sector HEIs).
- Degree Programs: Students enrolled in BS, BA, BSc, MBBS, or other undergraduate programs can apply.
Application Deadline
The deadline to submit the scholarship application is 15th September 2025. Students will be required to apply online via the Punjab Scholarship Application Portal since they will not be accepted in hard copies.
Under this initiative, the Punjab government will have an opportunity to enhance education opportunities and empower the youth by removing financial barriers to higher education.
