PSL 8 Teams 2023

The seventh season of the Pakistan Super League promises to be the most exciting ever, with six PSL 8 teams competing for the coveted PSL title. The six teams completed their PSL 2023 squads, adding quality to already star-studded lineups. The PSL 8 teams each have 18 players, with a mix of international players, Pakistani national stars, and new and rising emerging talent from around the country.

The PSL 8 teams completed their squads based on the drafting. The players in the PSL 8 teams are divided into six categories: platinum, diamond, gold, silver, emerging, and supplemental. A maximum of PSL 8 team players might be kept by each side ahead of the PSL 2023 drafting.

PSL 2023 Squads

Star players such as David Miller, Rashid Khan, Matthew Wade, Alex Hales, Colin Munro, and Wanindu Hasaranga join Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, and more Pakistani superstars in the PSL 8 all-team squads. Each franchise’s PSL 2023 squad list is stacked with international and national stars, as they assembled their teams through the PSL 7 drafting to compete for the coveted title.

The PSL 2023 drafting took held on December 15, with the six franchises, Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United, Multan Sultans, and Quetta Gladiators, forming their 18-man teams to compete in Pakistan’s top T20 league.

Multan Sultans Squad 2023

Multan Sultans, last year’s finalists, will be keen to go one step further this round and win their second PSL trophy. After winning PSL 6 and finishing as runners-up in PSL 7, they have been one of the most consistent sides in recent PSL seasons. Multan Sultans’ PSL 2023 squad appears to be much better than before, and they are heavy favourites to win the PSL 7 title.

The team led by Mohammad Rizwan has added more firepower to an already destructive squad. They added David Miller, Josh Little, and Akeal Hosein to their squad, which already included Tim David, Rilee Rossouw, Shan Masood, and Shahnawaz Dahani.

Lahore Qalandars Squad 2023

Lahore Qalandars will be trying to be the first team in PSL history to keep their trophy and the second PSL side in history to win multiple titles. Featuring a balanced and star-studded squad, the Lahore Qalandars squad PSL 2023 is well-equipped to defend their championship.

The Shaheen Afridi-led side also has the star power of Rashid Khan, Haris Rauf, and Fakhar Zaman, as well as Sikandar Raza and Liam Dawson as replacements for Mohammad Hafeez and Samit Patel.

Islamabad United Squad 2023

Islamabad United, the only multiple winners in PSL history, would be keen to maintain their record intact and win the PSL 7 championship. With an appealing and aggressive brand of cricket, they have been one of the most exciting players in PSL history. While Islamanbad failed to make the playoffs the previous season, they are better prepared this time around due to a smart drafting plan.

With the likes of Alex Hales, Colin Munro, Paul Stirling, Azam Khan, and Asif Ali, the Shadab Khan-led team already has one of the most interesting batting teams in the competition. They now have a strong bowling team as well, with to the signings of Abrar Ahmed and Rumman Raees, as well as English all-rounder Moeen Ali.

Karachi Kings Squad 2023

Karachi Kings had a horrible PSL 7 season, coming last with only one win. They will be determined to win the PSL 8 after bringing in Haider Ali and Shoaib Malik for Babar Azam.

The Imad Wasim-led group has also added Matthew Wade, Imran Tahir, and Andrew Tye to their already strong squad that includes Sharjeel Khan, Mohammad Amir, and Qasim Akram. Karachi appears much better than the previous season when teamed with Shoaib Malik and Imad Wasim.

Peshawar Zalmi Squad 2023

Peshawar Zalmi will be looking to make a great comeback in PSL 8 after a poor performance in PSL 7. In a high-profile deal with Karachi Kings, Zalmi has signed Pakistan’s all-format captain, Babar Azam, ahead of the PSL 2023.

Peshawar has made significant investments in young talent, signing players like as Saim Ayub, Haseebullah, and Danish Aziz, as well as T20 superstars such as Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Jimmy Neesham, and Mujeeb-ur-Rahman. Quetta Gladiators Squad 2023

Quetta Gladiators will be hoping to recover after a disappointing performance in PSL 7. They have added Wanindu Hasaranga, Martin Guptill, and Odean Smith to their team, which has given them a much-needed boost.

With the explosiveness of Will Smeed, Jason Roy, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Umar Akmal, Quetta’s bowling unit of Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnian, Hasaranga, Mohammad Nawaz, and Naveen-ul-Haq has supplied much needed balance to their squad.
