Private Schools Announce Eid-ul-Fitr Holidays

The All Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APSF) has declared Eid-ul-Fitr public holidays in all academic institutions across the country.

The APSF announced on Thursday that all private schools would be closed for the four-day Eid-ul-Fitr vacation from April 21 to 24.

“In accordance with APSF’s decision, all private schools under APPSF’s administrative authority must stay closed from April 21 to April 24,” the notification stated.

It was reported last week that ideas for four to five vacation days will be presented to the Prime Minister, who would make the ultimate decision.

According to reports, if Eid occurs on a Friday, vacations would be held from April 20 to 23, while if it falls on a Saturday, vacations may be extended from April 20 to 24.

The federal government said yesterday that all working and retired government employees will get their salary, allowances, and pensions early due to Eid.

It is important to note that the Ruet-i-Hilal Research Council has forecasted that Eid would occur on Saturday across the country, following 30 days of fasting during Ramadan.
