Pokemon Indigo Disk Trade Codes

The recent release of the Pokemon Indigo Disk DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has brought exciting new content to the games, including version-exclusive Pokemon.

Many players rely on trading with others with the opposite version of the game to obtain all of these Pokemon. However, finding trading partners can be difficult without coordination.

Trade codes allow players to connect with others looking to trade the same Pokemon without trying their luck with random online trades.

By entering a specific 8-digit trade code, you can match with someone else who enters that same code, with both of you looking to trade a particular version of exclusive Pokemon.

How to Use the Trade Codes

Using the trade codes is easy. Just follow these steps:

  1. Open your game and head to a Pokemon Center
  2. Speak to the Link Trade attendant inside to open the trading menu
  3. Select “Enter Link Code,” then input the 8-digit trade code
  4. This will search for someone else who has input this same code and pair you with them for a trade
  5. Offer the Pokemon you want to trade, and they should offer the one you are looking for in return
  6. Complete the trade.

Alolan Vulpix and Sandshrew lines are version exclusives. Alolan Vulpix and Ninetales are exclusive to Pokemon Violet, while Alolan Sandshrew and Sandslash can only be obtained in Scarlet.

Evolution Trade Codes

Here are trade codes for some fossil Pokemon evolutions requiring special items:

  • Cranidos and Shieldon: 04080410
  • Rampardos and Bastiodon: 04090411

Cranidos and Rampardos are Violet exclusives, while Shieldon and Bastiodon are Scarlet exclusives. To evolve them, you need special fossils like the Gouging Hammer and Iron Chunk, which are also version exclusives.

Starter Trade Codes

Here are some trade codes for evolved forms of starter Pokemon that require special held items:

  • Alolan Graveler: 00750075
  • Rhydon: 01120112
  • Seadra (while holding Dragon Scale): 01170117

  • Porygon (while holding Upgrade): 01370137
  • Porygon2 (while holding Dubious Disk): 02330233

As many players know, trading certain Pokemon while they hold special evolution items causes them to evolve. The Pokemon listed above must be traded while keeping their respective item to reach their next evolution stage.

The Pokemon Indigo Disk DLC provides plenty of great content, but trading for version exclusives and evolutions can be tedious without coordination. Hopefully, these trade codes help streamline the process so you can

With these useful trade codes, you now have the tools to easily find trading partners with the Pokemon you need. So open up your game, head to the nearest Pokemon Center, input those codes, and start trading.

Remember to come back and check for additional codes if you have trouble finding trading partners or are looking for other version-exclusive Pokemon not listed here. With some patience, you should be able to obtain all the new Pokemon added in this exciting DLC.
