The Sindh Government, led by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), started the ‘Peoples Bus Service’ in Karachi. According to the information, these Red Buses would operate on 11 various routes around the city, connecting Karachi to Larkana as well as important residential hubs, and industrial and economic districts.
Note that Peoples Bus Service is a different initiative from the network of BRT lines. The Sindh Government will introduce 240 buses on various routes around Karachi as part of the Peoples Bus Service.
Peoples Bus Service includes routes connecting significant places in Karachi, as well as Centralized Air-Conditioned Red Buses for commuters. Each bus seats around 40 people and includes designated seating for women.
