Microsoft Brings Copilot AI Assistant App for Android

Microsoft has quietly launched a dedicated Copilot app on the Google Play Store for Android devices. The AI-powered assistant app offers chatbot-like capabilities and can be used with Microsoft’s Edge browser.

The Copilot app is powered by OpenAI’s latest AI models – GPT-4 for text generation and DALL-E 3 for image generation. It provides fast and complex responses to queries as well as creates visuals from text descriptions.

The app has been available for download since December 19th, 2023. However, Microsoft has not yet released a version for iOS. The Bing app on iOS offers a similar experience to Copilot.

Being free to download, Copilot lets users access GPT-4 capabilities without any charge, unlike ChatGPT. It can be used for asking questions, generating text, composing emails, and more.

To use Copilot, Android 11 or higher is required. The app is around 86MB in size.

While the launch has been quiet so far, Copilot has the potential to gain significant traction given its AI prowess and free access to advanced models like GPT-4.
