Lotus has introduced a new fast electric SUV in Malaysia. Eletre is an electric vehicle with three models and two engine options.
The base and mid-level variants use a dual-motor, AWD powertrain, with the Eletre S delivering 605 horsepower and 710 Nm of torque for a 0-100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds and an 80-120 km/h time of 2.2 seconds. The maximum speed is 258 km/h.
Lotus’ fastest dual-motor completely electric SUV, the Eletre R, with 905 horsepower and 985 Nm of torque, a 0-100 km/h time of 2.95 seconds, an 80-120 km/h time of fewer than 1.9 seconds, and a peak speed of 265 km/h.
The Eletre and Eletre S have WLTP ranges of 600 km, while the Eletre R has a range of 490 km. The battery in all three configurations is 112 kWh. All are powered by an 800-volt electrical design that allows for up to 350 kW of DC rapid charging for 10-80% charge in 20 minutes. AC charging has a maximum capacity of 22 kW.
Malaysia has received 140 orders for the Eletre, out of a total of 200 units available in 2023. The SUV begins at Rs. 37 million (3.7 crores) and goes up to Rs. 51 million (5.1 crores).
