How to Report a Lost Item in Dubai
First, retrace your steps to try and find the item you lost. If you cannot locate it, request a Lost Certificate through the Dubai Police app or a Smart Police Station (SPS).
Step 1: Open the Dubai Police App
- Open the Dubai Police app on iOS or Android.
- Tap on Services at the bottom of the screen.
- Select Lost Certificate.
Step 2: Enter Your Details
- Enter your ID number and email address.
- If you are a visitor, enter your passport number, date of birth, nationality, and email address.
Step 3: Describe the Lost Item
- Select the type of item.
- Choose the category (e.g., Jewellery) and sub-category (e.g., Ring, Necklace).
- Upload an image of the lost item (if available).
Step 4: Enter the Date & Location
- Enter the date and time when the item was lost.
- Pin the location on the map and enter a brief description.
Step 5: Submit & Pay the Fee
- Complete the captcha verification.
- Submit the application.
- Pay the service fee via credit or debit card.
- You will receive a transaction number for follow-up.
- The Lost Certificate and payment receipt will be sent via email.
