In preparation for Eid-ul-Fitr, the Green Line bus service, Karachi’s major metro system, has established a temporary revised timetable to accommodate late-night shopping.
According to a spokeswoman, this decision was made due to increased purchase activity among locals as they prepare for the upcoming holiday during Ramadan’s last days.
The bus service will begin at 7:00 a.m. each morning from the two terminals and will operate until 11:30 p.m. from Abdullah Chowk in Sarjani Town to the Numaish Chowrangi station, according to the updated timetable. The down-track service from Numaish Chowrangi will also be maintained till 12:30 a.m. The last bus from Surjani Town will leave at 11:30 p.m., while the final bus from Numaish Chowrangi will leave at 12:30 a.m.
According to the spokesperson, the new schedule is meant for busy customers and makes commuting easier during the last days of the holy month.
