New Digital Birth Certificate Service
The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has launched an online system that allows parents to apply for, pay for, and get their child’s birth certificate.
The program offers credentials in Arabic, English, or Urdu, aiming to simplify and expedite the process for both residents and citizens.
- Hospitals in Dubai first submit the child’s birth notification electronically.
- Parents then complete the application, upload necessary documents, and pay online.
- The certificate is issued within a working day via email or mobile phone.
- Courier can also deliver printed copies upon request.
Required Documents
For UAE Citizens:
- Emirates ID or family book for both parents (originals)
- Original marriage certificate (authenticated if issued outside the UAE)
- Birth notification stamped by the hospital
- Upload digital copies after hospital verification
For Residents (Non-Citizens):
- Emirates ID or passport for both parents (originals)
- Original authenticated marriage certificate (if issued abroad)
- Birth notification stamped by the hospital
- Upload digital copies after hospital verification
For Lost Birth Certificate Replacement:
- Online application submitted by either parent
- Copies of both parents’ Emirates IDs or passports
- Police report confirming the loss (if no copy of the original certificate is available)
For Reissuing Additional Copies:
- Online application
- Copy of the original birth certificate
- Copies of both parents’ Emirates IDs or passports
How to Apply Online
Follow these simple steps:
- Visit the official Dubai Health Authority website.
- Go to Individual Services > Issue a New, Copy, or Replacement Birth Certificate.
- Click Access Service and log in using your UAE Pass account.
- If you do not have a UAE Pass, register with your full name, email address, and mobile number.
- Complete the application form, upload the required documents, and pay the application fee of Dh70.
- Receive the digital certificate via email or phone within one working day.
