The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has suggested lowering petrol prices in Pakistan for the next two weeks, beginning on May 16, 2023.
According to the OGRAβs report, the coalition government should cut the price of petrol in Pakistan by Rs. 10 per litre and diesel by Rs. 8 per litre.
The proposal comes as the international price of crude oil has fallen, reaching $77.44 per barrel in the previous two weeks.
However, the Federal Government will make the final decision tomorrow, and new petrol prices in Pakistan will be effective on May 16, 2023.
The coalition government agreed on April 30 to keep the price of petrol in Pakistan at Rs. 282.00 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) was reduced by Rs. 5.00 per litre. Similarly, the price of kerosene and light diesel oil (LDO) has been decreased by Rs. 10.
