Govt Extends Passport Submission Deadline for Hajj 2023
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has extended the deadline for Hajj pilgrims to submit passports to respective bank branches till April 28th.
The Ministry also recommended Hajj pilgrims use the “Saudi Visa Bio” mobile app for biometric verification while at home.
In the case of an issue, Hajj pilgrims can request help from the nearest Gerry’s Visa Centre between 2 and 6 p.m.
Early this month, the Finance Ministry issued an announcement saying that all intended pilgrims who applied for Hajj this year will be able to attend the journey without having to vote.
The federal cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), led by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, has approved $163 million for Hajj arrangements this year.
According to the announcement issued by the Ministry, all 72,869 Hajj aspirants will do Hajj without being balloted this year. Speaking on the occasion, Ishaq Dar stated that the Religious Ministry will require more resources, especially foreign money, to transport more Hajj pilgrims than the usual scheme’s fixed quota.
