Google appears to be borrowing another feature from ChatGPT. The company is reportedly adding a “Created by You” section to its Gemini app that is dedicated to serving as a personalized hub of all user-created AI content, including videos, images, code, and documents.
Android Authority discovered in an APK teardown of the latest Google app beta (version 16.35.63). According to the report, the new feature is similar to the ChatGPT Library that stores all GPT-generated media in one place. For Gemini users, the addition means no more digging through long chat histories to find AI-generated pictures or documents.
The “Created by You” section will provide easy access to Gemini’s expanding creative outputs. As Google’s Nano-Banana AI image generator is driving a viral boom in image and video generation, the feature aims to simplify content discovery. Beyond media, it also appears to store code and documentation generated by Gemini using the Canvas feature, making it a more comprehensive archive of user creations.
While Google has not officially announced a release date, the fact that the feature is already supported in the latest beta suggests a wider rollout in the future. Google has been continually enhancing Gemini over the last two years, making it a possible replacement for Google Assistant on smartphones.
The addition comes after other upgrades like improved design changes and deeper integration of AI across Google services. By making AI-generated content easier to access, Google is clearly aiming to keep pace with competitors like OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
