Google Expands AI Shopping: Now You Can Virtually Try On Shoes From Home

Google is now even smarter with its push into AI-powered shopping. The tech giant is now entering the footwear market after launching its AI shopping tools in Google Labs earlier this year and expanding them in July to virtual clothing try-ons. With the latest update, users can use Google’s AI shopping mode to try on shoes virtually without leaving their homes.

But don’t worry, Google is not asking for pictures of your feet. According to the company, all you need is a full-body photo, and in a few seconds, the AI will create an image of how the chosen pair of shoes would look on your feet. It is another step forward in Google’s ongoing effort to make online shopping more personal, visual, and interactive.

Virtual try-on technology is changing the face of online shopping, as there is no longer any need to go to a store and spend an eternity trying on shoe after shoe that does not fit your outfit. With this feature, you need only to upload a picture of yourself in your chosen outfit, and Google’s AI will digitally place the shoes on your image, and you will instantly preview them in the picture.

The experience is further helpful with Google AI-powered price Notifications. Users can have notifications when their favorite shoes go on sale, and even have Google Pay purchase them when the price drops to a desired level.

This combination of convenience and customization is changing the way users shop online. With Google expanding its AI-powered shopping features to Australia, Canada, and Japan, more users worldwide will soon have access to this futuristic shopping experience.
