Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced a fast delivery service for driving licenses and car registration cards. Residents of Dubai can now get their driving licenses and car registration cards in as little as two hours. Residents of Abu Dhabi and Sharjah can request same-day delivery.
RTA has also introduced a new service for distributing these documents to persons residing in other countries. The announcement said that
RTA aims to make customers happy and maintain continuing advances in servicing motorists who are renewing their driving licenses.
Special Offer for Pakistanis
Earlier this month, the authority implemented the “Golden Chance,” which allows non-approved nations such as Pakistan, India, and the Philippines to swap their driving licenses without having to take driving lessons.
Previously, people from non-approved countries had to complete driving lessons and tests to be eligible for swapping driving licenses with those from Dubai. They may now do so by taking simply theoretical and road tests.
The eligible nations can simply visit RTA’s office and exchange their licenses. France, Hong Kong, Denmark, Ireland, Canada, the United States, South Africa, and the United Kingdom are among the permitted nations.
