After receiving their M-tag from the official NHMP booth at their local toll plaza, people may now enjoy free highway travel as directed by the LHC. There are many unsolved questions, such as what documentation is required to obtain an M-tag and how much it costs to register.
What is M-Tag?
Vehicles supplied with an M-tag are equipped with a pre-paid RFID tag placed on the top of the windscreen.
Motorway charges can be paid automatically using an M-tag, which is attached to a driving license. Citizens no longer have to wait in large queues due to the automated process.
How to Get M-Tag?
Following official guidelines, the M-tag may be purchased at designated booths at the M-2 motorwayās toll booths.
What you need to do is follow these instructions:
- Then, head to the nearest toll booth in your car and pay the fee immediately.
- CNIC should be provided
- Vaccination certificates for COVID-19 must be provided.
- Provide all of the vehicleās information, including its make, model,
- Now get your M-tag
Documents Required
Getting an M-tag for your car is a simple process. Only your original CNIC and COVID-19 vaccination certificates will be required during the process. Please remember that car registration documents are not necessary to register for a vehicle insurance policy.
Ineligibility
Without a car registration, those who intend to drive by motorway will be unable to get an M-tag. If you do not have your car registration documents, you will not be able to register a new or unregistered vehicle.
Check M-tag ID via SMS
Your M-tag ID and other important information will be sent to the mobile phone number you provide when signing up for M-tag. To verify your identity, you can send a text message to 9909 with the message:
CNIC number āMtag 13 digits.ā
The M-tag ID will be sent back, andĀ you will send the message.
Registration Fee of M-tag
Getting an M-tag for your car does not need paying a registration fee.
