The Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC) has launched the FFC Sona Welfare Scholarship, a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting education and uplifting deserving students. The scholarship, facilitated through the Sona Foundation, provides financial support to talented students pursuing Intermediate and Bachelors degree programs across Pakistan.
The scholarship is open to students enrolled in 1st year post-matric programs or the 1st and 2nd semesters of Bachelor/Undergraduate degree programs. Eligibility criteria include a commendable academic record, with a minimum score of 85% in their last competitive exams, or 75% for students from Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan. Candidates must also be enrolled in government-approved/registered colleges and universities.
The scholarship offers a lifeline to students whose primary source of income is farming and who own less than 50 acres of land. These eligible students can apply and potentially receive a stipend, helping them access quality education.
The FFC scholarship primarily targets students pursuing degrees in Engineering, IT, Agriculture, and Management Sciences. Prospective scholars can be enrolled in a wide range of programs, including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Agriculture, Social Sciences, Agronomy, Computer Sciences, Management Sciences, and Post-Matric Programs.
Undergraduate students can receive a monthly stipend of PKR 6,000, with an increased stipend of PKR 8,000 for those pursuing Agriculture and Agronomy programs. Post-matric students, including those in Intermediate and Diploma programs, can receive a monthly stipend of PKR 5,000.
Applying for the FFC Scholarship is a straightforward process. Interested candidates can obtain and submit their scholarship forms on the FFC scholarship portal. The last date to apply for the FFC Scholarship in Pakistan is October 31, 2023.
