Emirates ID Card is issued by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) to UAE citizens and expatriates, where Indian citizens either PR or non-PR residing in the UAE are given if they meet the guidelines from the ICP as stated.
Any United Arab Emirates citizen or resident must have an Emirates ID, which should always be carried. It allows cardholders to use government benefits and other services.
When to Renew Emirates ID Card
Individuals should renew his/her Emirates ID within 30 days of its expiry to avoid paying late fines. Renewals can be started online or through the ICP mobile app, the ICP app in Google Play, the App Store, and at the approved typing centers. They may need to visit an ICP service center to submit biometric details.
