Emirates Announces Temporary Closure of Select First-Class Check-In Counters at Dubai Airport for Upgrades

Dubai-based leading airline Emirates has recently announced the temporary closure of some of its First-Class check-in counters at Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport (DXB). The closure, which is set to last until September 1, 2023, is due to planned upgrades.

The announcement was made public through an advisory released by the airline on Thursday. Passengers have been urged to reach out to Emirates directly for the most recent updates regarding check-in counters and other related arrangements.

In light of this development, Emirates has made provisions for its Skywards Gold members who are traveling in Economy Class. These passengers have been instructed to use the premium check-in counters situated in Area 6 during the upgrade period.

Furthermore, Emirates is introducing a new service that allows passengers departing from Dubai to check in early and drop off their luggage at the airport the night before their flight, without any additional charges. This early check-in service is available up to 24 hours prior to departure. However, for flights heading to the US and Tel Aviv, the service can only be availed up to 12 hours before departure.

In addition to the airport’s facilities, passengers also have the option to utilize the new city check-in service at ICD Brookfield Place within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This move is part of Emirates’ continuous efforts to enhance passenger experience and streamline travel processes.
