EA Sports has now officially started closed beta testing EA FC 26, and fans are buzzing with anticipation. While codes are now live, most players are rubbing their heads about how to get the codes and join the testing phase.
After major gameplay updates and revamped modes, here is everything you need to know about how to get the EA FC 26 closed beta, when it is starting, and what to expect.
How to get an EA FC 26 Beta code
The closed beta is invite-only, and the codes are being emailed out to selected EA account holders. However, to increase your chances, make sure you are signed up to receive EA communications.
- Visit the official EA website.
- Log in to your account.
- Head to Account Settings.
- Click on Communication Preferences.
- Enable the option:
“Email me about EA’s products, news, events, and promotions.” - Select your preferred gaming platforms (PS5, Xbox, PC, etc.).
- Click Save Changes.
Note: Subscribing to them does not mean you will get a code; codes are sent randomly. However, if you are not signed up, you would not be considered at all.

- Wednesday, August 6, 2025
- 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST
The beta runs until
- Tuesday, August 26, 2025
That provides a very early access of about three weeks to test gameplay, feedback, and experience the new stuff before launch time, to the players.
When are Beta codes being sent?

The codes are sent over waves, so check your inbox and spam folder even on Day 1. If you did not receive the code, more could be coming.
What’s included in the Beta?
Selected players will get access to a limited number of game modes, chosen randomly. All players will get access to the Kick-Off, yet not all the modes will be available.

What to expect from EA FC 26 Gameplay
A more responsive gameplay engine has been introduced this year, with return of low-driven shots and promo-heavy Ultimate Team content downplayed.
However, do not expect real-time summer transfers or new kits; you will get the squads and uniforms from the end of EA25 FC.
The closed beta is 62 GB, and users can start downloading as soon as they receive the code. So, once the servers go live, you will be able to roll into the action.
