How to Apply for a Police Clearance Certificate Online
Follow the steps given below to obtain your PCC with ease:
- Download the ‘MOI UAE’ app.
- Log in using UAE Pass.
- Go to ‘Services’.
- Select ‘Issuance of a Clear Criminal Record Certificate’.
- Fill out the form by specifying:
- Whether the certificate is for use in the UAE or another country.
- The purpose (immigration, work, study, etc.).
- Make the payment of Dh100 and choose how you want to receive the certificate:
- Digital copy (immediate download).
- Courier delivery.
- In-person collection (at the Federal Criminal Police or a police station).
The certificate is issued within 24 hours.

How to Apply If You Are No Longer in the UAE
If you are No Longer a Resident of the UAE But Still Need a Police Clearance Certificate, a friend or relative can apply on your behalf through the General Directorate of the Federal Criminal Police.
Required documents:
- Copy of passport.
- Copy of old resident’s visa.
- Copy of Emirates ID.
- Two personal photos.
On the other hand, the procedure for Dubai residents is different. Dubai Police must process the application.
