Meta’s influence on WhatsApp can be seen in how it’s developed, with features from other apps like Instagram and Messenger slowly being added. One of these features is a system that will let you know when someone likes one of your status posts.
Currently, users can react to status changes with one of eight suggested emojis, or they can use the keyboard UI to choose a different emoji. But new reports say that WhatsApp is thinking about adding a one-tap “like” button on Instagram so that people can quickly react to status updates.
There is a new toggle switch called “Like reactions” in the Notification settings section of the latest beta version of WhatsApp. If you turn this feature on, you will get a push notification whenever a friend reacts to one of your status updates with a “like.”
With this new tool, it should be easier for people to respond to status updates from their friends and family. However, there is a possibility of receiving many notifications if the toggle is turned on after posting a status update visible to many contacts.
