New Winter School Timings in Punjab from October 2022
From the second Monday in October 2022 (either the 15th or the 17th), a new winter school schedule will be implemented in Punjab. Dr. Murad Raas, the Minister of Education, will announce the new school schedule through Tweet.
The month of October is usually when the Punjab School Education Department alters the school schedule for the whole province in preparation for the Winter Season. These timings will remain in effect until next year’s April 15th, 2023.
Based on announcements made the year before, it is clear that from October 16, 2022, all schools in Punjab, both public and private, would begin following new schedules.
All girls’ schools in Punjab now work from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, whereas all boys’ schools in Punjab now work from 8:45 AM to 2:45 PM. Monday to Thursday and Saturday are included in this time period. No classes will resume after 12PM on Friday.
The new timings for the insaf afternoon school are Monday to Thursday, and Saturday, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the 2nd shift from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
On Friday, the new schedule for Insaf afternoon schools and Double Shift schools will take effect, with the first shift from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
With the current state of the winter season and the smog issues in Punjab, the department is unlikely to make any significant changes.

The Chief Minister of Punjab, Pervez Elahi, tweeted about the fog that has settled over Punjab this winter. The Chief Minister of Punjab warned farmers on Twitter not to burn their agricultural waste. If they don’t, we’ll have to take punitive actions based on how seriously they deserve to be punished.
Winter Holidays in Schools December 2022
Modifications to school start and end times are often announced in the winter. In December of 2022 and January of 2023, we will release the information on our winter break. Last winter, Murad Raas announced a two phases break for the holidays. This year, cold weather will be the deciding factor.
